Archery
safety and conduct rules
Anyone who uses our shooting facilities independently knows and follows these rules. They apply in the archery hall Sempach and at the Schlund outdoor range.

Equipment
- Dry fires (without an arrow) must be avoided at all costs.
- Only use original string material as specified by the manufacturer. Strings and, where applicable, cables should be replaced annually if the bow is used weekly.
- Only use suitable arrows: no damaged, too weak, too short or too light arrows.
- Check string, shafts, nocks, points and fletching regularly for damage and replace defective components. Do not use shafts with dents or carbon damage.
Shooting
On the range
- Use only suitable material as a target, no wooden boards, trees or other very hard objects. Position the target so that an inaccurate shot endangers nobody.
- If several people train at the same time, a common shooting line applies and everyone retrieves arrows together. Make sure that nobody is standing behind you.
- Shots into the air are very dangerous and prohibited on our ranges.
- If people or animals are in the target area, shooting is not permitted.
- Children may stay behind the shooting line accompanied by a responsible adult, provided shooting is not disrupted.
