Note
8125® is especially popular in the recurve field because it offers a very good ratio of speed to comfort.
Compared to materials with Vectran content (e.g. 452X or X99), however, it shows slight length change ("creep").
This means
- Ideal for recurve archers with regular setup checks
- Less suitable for applications where absolute length stability is critical
For optimal results, it is recommended to properly pre-stretch the bowstring and check it regularly.
This keeps performance consistent and allows the material to fully showcase its strengths.
