When screwing in, the ring is slightly compressed and thereby creates a reliable thread lock.
Especially with arrows that have frequently changing points or intensive use in 3D courses, it is worthwhile to keep some spare O-rings in your accessories. Worn or heavily compressed rings should be replaced regularly to maintain the optimal locking effect.
