Rules – Bow Poker (Maple Leaf)

1. Objective
Form classic poker hands with your hits such as "Pair", "Straight" or "Full House".
The winner is the player who ends up with the best poker hand from their arrows.

2. Target layout
The target is divided into 52 fields – each field represents a playing card (e.g. Heart Ace, Diamond 10, Spade Jack etc.).
There may also be Joker fields or bonus cards (depending on the target or house rules).

3. Gameplay

• Each player shoots 5 arrows per round (like 5 cards in poker).

• Each hit counts as a "drawn card".

• The aim is to hit the strongest possible poker hand.

• The round ends after all players have shot.
  The cards hit are compared.

4. Poker hand ranking (low to high):

• High Card

• One Pair

• Two Pair

• Three of a Kind

• Straight (five cards in sequence, any suit)

• Flush (five cards of the same suit)

• Full House (Three of a Kind + Pair)

• Four of a Kind

• Straight Flush (five consecutive cards of the same suit)

• Royal Flush (10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace of the same suit)

5. Variants & extras

• Joker: A hit on the Joker field can be used for any card.

• Double Round: Players may shoot 2 rounds and choose the better hand.

• Duel Mode: Two players compete directly against each other, round by round.

6. Winner
The player who hits the strongest poker hand wins the round. In the event of a tie: decided by a shoot-off (1 arrow at the centre).

The Bow Poker target face can be used for any card game.
The only difference: Both archers can hit the same strong hand.
To avoid a draw, you can rule that a card is "dead" once an arrow hits it – or that the card belongs to the archer whose arrow is closer to the centre.
Everything from a simple "highest card" game to more complex variants is possible.
If the archers are at different skill levels, the better archer should have to hit a smaller circle to score a card.

FITA: The central spot with 2 cm corresponds to an inner 10-ring.
The next rings with 4 cm and 8 cm correspond to the 10-ring and 9-ring.

NFAA: The central spot with 2 cm represents the X.
The next two rings with 4 cm and 8 cm correspond to the two white rings.
